LOOP Practical Strategies Seminars
Join us for our series of 2-hour Practical Strategies Seminars. In response to the requests of teachers, LOOP seminars can be completed in one sitting, with participants encouraged to return to the collegial discussions about teaching throughout the term. Tuition for each seminar is $50.

Teaching Students with Language-Based Learning Disabilites: Best Practices
This 10-hour online seminar aims to enhance educators' understanding of students with language-based learning disabilities by providing an overview and introduction to best practices in Study Skills, Writing, and Expressive Language curriculum and instruction. Furthermore, participants will learn the basics of formal and informal assessment, various assessment types, and practical application of assessment results.

This companion to Landmark Outreach's newest teaching guide, Teaching Independent Minds, offers teachers the opportunity to interact with the author and colleagues who are also reading the book, and access useful classroom handouts. The seminar will be open through April 2009.
